WELCOME TO BIG SKY
A TOWN BUILT ON HISTORY
A beautiful place such as Big Sky, Montana, didn't come from the easiest of beginnings. However, I'm sure the collective census will agree that everyone wants to make sure their beloved town stays beautiful. Today, that still rings true and would make good ol' Clovis Deveraux proud to see what it has become since the town created where he served as the first mayor of Big Sky! And no matter where you look, you can see the beauty in the town. From the view of the mountains to every store on Main Street, there's always something to see. If you ask me, someone who was born and raised in Big Sky, I'm always seeing something different even after all these years!
Big Sky was founded in 1893 and has seen its fair share of ups and downs, but mostly the city has done nothing but grow into what it is today: 131 years later. Visitors to Big Sky can enjoy the perks of living in a friendly place with access to a top-notch ski resort for their recreational enjoyment. There are plenty of places to shop and eat as well as an amazing theater! There's truly something to always peak your interest while you visit! Locals have the added bonus of enjoying exceptional schools for their children in Kindergarten through 12th grade! Once they're done with their first 12 years of school, they can move on to the award-winning Big Sky University to further their education while staying close to home!
No matter what it is though, Big Sky has it all that one would need or even possibly want! I know that I don't plan on leaving this beautiful place. As I was born and raised here, I aspire to also make sure my children and their children are also born and raised right here in this beautiful piece of Montana!
Listen, baby, ain't no mountain high Ain't no valley low, ain't no river wide enough, baby If you need me, call me no matter where you are No matter how far, don't worry, baby Just call my name, I'll be there in a hurry
You don't have to worry 'Cause baby, there ain't no mountain high enough Ain't no valley low enough Ain't no river wide enough To keep me from getting to you, babe Remember the day I set you free I told you, you could always count on me, darling From that day on, I made a vow I'll be there when you want me Some way, somehow
'Cause baby, there ain't no mountain high enough Ain't no valley low enough Ain't no river wide enough To keep me from getting to you, babe Oh, no, darling No wind, no rain
Or winter's cold can stop me, baby, no, no, baby 'Cause you are my goal If you're ever in trouble I'll be there on the double Just send for me, oh baby, ha ~Marvin Gay and Tammi Turell

I suppose the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. While I was a teenager, I believed I gained my mother's need to want to help people. I'm very caring and love to meet others who need it more. I will not hesitate to lend a helping hand or offer it when they need it most. I often volunteer in my free time with animals or people. I don't mind either way. I am creative; I like to draw and write. I also like playing musical instruments like the piano and the guitar. I learned how to play at a young age.
My negative personality traits include being stubborn; I have a hard time changing my mind once I come up with an idea. And it will take a long time for me to fix it. I am impulsive. I will react to things on emotions rather than thinking things through in the end. I am a workaholic. I am impulsive, as I often only act on emotions. I am overcritical of myself. I tend to not give myself enough credit towards things or when they are due. I am also impatient and tend to rush things when they should be thought more clearly at times.

History
My name is Allison Renee Taggart. I was born on a ranch in Big Sky, Montana. My parents are Brennan Taggart and Korieander Marie Taggart. They met in an unusual way when my mother had a study abroad program in Ireland with several of her friends. My father, Bren, was from Ireland; it was love at first sight. When my mom had to leave and go back to her homeland in Montana, she got her first kiss from him, and you could say the rest was history.
I was the fourth born into the family. I was surrounded by love. I would say I was a curious baby and a happy one. I usually don't cause that much trouble. But as soon as I could walk, I was looking at everything and learning how to navigate my small world in my home.
When I was four years old, I got my first minibike, and I learned how to ride it. It was so much fun. I graduated up to a dirt bike and learned to ride on the track. I participated in motocross. I won quite a few trophies from competing in races.
One of the boys caught my eye almost immediately. He was cute, alright. His name is Lawson Garard. We did everything together as kids. We played games and spent time at the clubhouse. Lawson and I spent our evenings on the porches of our family homes. I remember challenging him on my minibike around the makeshift racetrack that I made. And I beat him. I think he had gone easy on me because I was a girl. I was very competitive at such a young age. He did challenge me several more times as we got older, and I think more than once we ended up with a draw because it was so close.
In high school, I participated in several sports, such as cheerleading, and soccer. They were my favorites, and I was excellent in them. And I continued them through high school. I was falling head over heels with Lawson. We were becoming more than close friends. He was my everything. I asked him out on a date. That very evening, as I asked him if we could become boyfriend and girlfriend. After that, we were together and started to kiss as we watched the sunset.
Tragedy struck when I was in my third year of high school. I was home for the holidays. I knew who was up on that mountain; my family members were trying to gather up some loose cattle that had gotten away. It was shortly after New Year's. Snow had been on the ground, and an avalanche struck. I saw the whole thing as the snow fell right into the path of my loved ones. I was devastated. The High Mountain Rangers went up hoping to rescue survivors, instead it turned into a recovery mission. No one survived.
Other days, I notice myself getting distracted a lot. Other days, I don’t want to do anything at all but cry. My mom made sure I remember how awful those funerals were. Saying goodbye to my family was one of the hardest things that I had done in a long time. It felt like a piece of me had died with them.
For now, I’m trying to dig myself out of this hole. I am surrounded by my family. I have to start focusing on school again and what matters there. My family is here to help, and I’m going to hold onto them tight. And not let go.

The night was young as Damien felt a chill in the air. He stepped outside feeling winter's grasp still on them but barely. It would not be long before Spring came around and welcomed the new season without question. He was growing weary of the cold winter months, while his werewolf form didn't seem to mind it. He was protected with warm fur that could survive the elements of the cold with no problem. The last bit of snow had melted, while a little bit of frost still clung to the windows. The cold nights were numbered as the warmth would eventually take over.
As Damien stepped out, he had his phone in hand. He had a book in another looking at old astrology charts. The paper was worn with age with a handful of tears from on the sides, as they had scrawled pieces of notes written on it. Because of this, Damien was able to see and recognize some of the planets in the sky as he could point out where he was. Then the moon phases on another page as he flipped through the papers that he had. Damien knew in a couple of weeks, his werewolf form would come out. He still had time. It didn't bother him that much now.
"I see now, so that's where we are. The moon is, half full and will not change for a while." Damien said as that was calming enough. His own home in Quincy had been a small apartment that he had rented out for a couple of months ahead of time. To have his roof over his head was rewarding, and he had enjoyed it. As he began to walk down the streets, there was a nearby park that he could frequent. He smelled the damp air like a storm might come later that night. Along with the few scents of people who had been out that night walking their dogs or heading home. Damien had left Freki back in the apartment for a short amount of time. As he would be back in. And he'd never forget his companion.
